I have worked for over 25 years as an interdisciplinary artist in environmental performance, sculpture and video art. My work has been exhibited internationally in live performances, art-in-nature symposia, video/film screenings and installations in the US, Finland, Norway, Holland, Cuba, France, Greece, Italy, India, Spain, Argentina, South Korea, Hong Kong and other countries. I am the recipient of a number of fellowships & grants including two Fulbright Fellowships to Finland (1998 & 2011), a Finnish Cultural Foundation Grant (North Karelia Fund), three Finlandia Foundation Grants and multiple internal research grants for artistic projects from the University of Missouri. I am an Associate Professor of Art in the School of Visual Studies (SVS) at the University of Missouri, where I teach video art, digital storytelling,  dividing my time between Columbia, Missouri, my husband’s organic farm in NE Missouri and international travel for exhibitions, performances and conferences.  I received a Master of Fine Art Degree in Intermedia & Video Art from the University of Iowa in 1997 with a minor in Sculpture.  Currently, I serve as President of Artists in Nature International Network (AiNIN).

2018

This year, the Pori Art Museum in Pori, Finland acquired a significant portion of my work made in Finland over a twenty year period between 1998 and 2018. Fifteen video and performance works (documented in video and photography) were transferred to the museum where they are now part of the museum's permanent collection.
